I’ve seen it!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Catherine Lorin @ 11:57 am

Allow me to express my belated opinion because I’VE SEEN SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE at last! Finished it ten minutes ago. A W E S O M E, a round of applause claps claps claps. It was the indisputable love that got me. I’ve been downloading this movie from Limewire since yesterday, so worth it!

But the ending was just so undeniably pinoy, what with the dance number and the baduy choreography? Brought me back to Manilyn Reynes-Janno Gibbs tandem haha! Slumdog Millionaire – highly recommended – I know I don’t even have to mention this anymore.

A forwarded email has been sitting along with my other unattended mails, never though it could be interesting.

One Lazy Option

Filed under: Just being me — Catherine Lorin @ 8:53 am

  1. Fact: I have two phone lines, one is SMART, the other is SUN (which is of course becoming the fad these days).
  2. Fact: I live 2 kilometers away from the wireless centers located at The Gaisano Mall of Davao where I could pay my bills. I work 7 kilometers away from these wireless centers. I hate strutting my baby steps in the mall after work not unless I have to buy something I crave or I need to kill time.
  3. Fact: I hate Gaisano Mall’s parking area especially after 6pm.
  4. Fact: If somebody needs me they will call me. If I need to reach somebody, there’s the landline – and of course there’s Yahoo Instant Messaging.
  5. Fact: I like to announce this to the world, you better know my devil.

My likely future:

I’d rather SUN and SMART cut me off than go to the mall and pay my bills which are by the way sooooo overdue. If they don’t cut me off tonight, I’ll pay tomorrow. Same pattern goes I believe if they don’t cut me off tomorrow. I can’t like it when I hate it, especially today…

Looking for Step 4 of 100

Slacking. Awaiting step 4 of 100 – whatever it will be, seems like the moment will be stranded forever because Cherry has found a new pastime with Pang…

Step 3 of 100: "The Chocolate Cake"

Last bonding moments, step 3 of 100:

Again, thanks to Cherry (and Mr. Pang too) for the chocolate cake, we sure enjoyed it yesterday because LJ was not around.

Step 2 of 100: "Mangosteen"

Last bonding moments step 2 of 100…

The Purple Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), colloquially known simply as “the mangosteen”, is a tropical evergreen tree, believed to have originated in the Sunda Islands and the Moluccas of Indonesia. The tree grows from 7 to 25 m (20-80 ft) tall. The rind (exocarp) of the edible fruit is deep reddish purple when ripe. Botanically an aril, the fragrant edible flesh can be described as sweet and tangy, citrusy with peach flavor and texture.

The Purple Mangosteen belongs to the same genus as the other – less widely known – mangosteens, such as the Button Mangosteen (G. prainiana) or the Lemondrop Mangosteen (G. madruno). Botanically, they are not related to the mango (Mangifera spp.), which belongs to the Anacardiaceae plant family.

Just recently a bunch of mangosteen sellers started lining up by Lanang, and we pass by them everyday on our way to work. Cherry bought mangosteen three weeks ago and the price was considerably high as compared to when she bought the mangosteen (not in Lanang) near the Bureau of Customs last Friday (together with Mr. Pang). The fruit is quite expensive but to date, you can now find PhP45.00 a kilo around.

To document step 2:

We are really serious about the documentation, we want it FLAWLESS. Haha!
